Program Description: Upward Bound is a year-round program with Chelsea High School students that motivate low-income, at-risk youth to finish school and pursue post-secondary education. A six-week summer residential program involves living and classes at the Merrimack College campus. Summer internships and community service opportunities are available. School year ESL and adult education programs are available for parents. Pregnant and Parenting Teen Program has daily classes individually tailored to each student’s educational needs to secure a high school diploma.

Program Description: Classes offered for parents to improve their reading, writing, and English in order to support their children’s learning. Participating parents can receive childcare services for infants and toddlers and supplemental education for preschoolers. Each adult class is staffed by two teachers and three tutors for individual instruction. Pre-school classroom is staff by a teacher and five tutors.

Shore Educational Collaborative
Population Targeted: Students, adults, their families and educators
Program Description: Special education and vocational services for behaviorally and academically challenged students and adults. Consultation, professional development and operational services to educators and school administrators. Students receive individualized attention to help them reintegrate into traditional school environments. Facility has professional development and workshop room that can be rented and a half-length gym for community use that is consistent with Shore’s mission.
